Brief Lives (Sandman Book VII) - Neil Gaiman
Dream and Delirium go searching for their AWOL brother, Destruction. Since Delirium is along for a large portion of the story, the book has a sort of short-attention-span feel in some parts. One particular touch to this one that I liked: Peter Straub's introduction (which, like many book introductions, gives away lots of plot points while discussing it) has been moved to the back of the book, with a short note by Gaiman at the front directing you to read the introduction at some point, and giving you just enough background to get you started on this book without giving away too much.
