How the B-52 Cockroach Learned to Fly - Lisa Matsumoto, paintings by Michael Furuya

The other day we were pleasantly surprised to receive a package for Ridley from (of all places) Hawaii. It turns out Doug came across this book while vacationing there and decided that Ridley needed a Christmas present. It's a cute story about Kimo the Hawaiian cockroach who wants to be part of the insect kingdom. He is challenged by the queen bee to contribute something worthwhile. The illustrations are wonderful, particularly the expressions on the various insects' faces. Thanks, Doug!
