300 - Frank Miller

300 is Frank Miller's retelling of the battle of Thermopylae, where three hundred Spartan warriors fought the massive Persian army by forcing them into a narrow gap where their numbers were useless. Like his Sin City series, 300 is graphic and bloody, though without all the buxom women. It's a gripping tale, about honor and sacrifice and glory, and Miller's version is well-told.
