One of his shorter books, but quite entertaining, it's based on autobiographies (of questionable origins) of Jan Welzl, a Czech explorer who went to the North, befriended the Eskimos, and had numerous adventures. Sís' book is based on his childhood memories of the explorer, and the illustrations are (as always) a delight to look at.
