District X: Mr. M

This one was from Marvel Comics, but still wasn't one I was familiar with. I'd gotten partway through the book before I realized that Bishop was one of the X-men, and that this story falls somewhere in the X-men universe. District X is apparently where a lot of mutants live, particularly the ones whose mutations don't make for superheroics or villainy. Ismael is a normal human cop who gets assigned to work with Bishop, investigating a turf war between two local crimelords. There's also the titular Mr. M, a mysterious recluse who has some pretty bizarre powers. On the whole, a so-so book. The artwork is standard Marvel-style comics; the story is neither spectacular nor horrible.
