I Can't Believe It's Not the Justice League - Keith Giffen et al.

"You were in Dr. Fate's quarters, you nitwit! Everything in there is some kind of cosmic thingamabob!"

I read an earlier book in this series, Formerly Known as the Justice League, a while back, but never posted about it. It's a bit of a satire of superhero comics, playing with conventions and cliches with some of DC Comics' regulars (e.g. Captain Marvel). It's humorous and silly, and I enjoyed reading them despite not being familiar with several of the superheroes involved. Instead of pages of fight scenes with mind-numbing dialogue, these superheroes bicker with each other, complain about heart conditions, and barely stick together.

In this volume, the not-so-brainy Booster Gold manages to whisk all the Super-Buddies (the "affordable" superheroes) to Hell, where they end up working in a fast-food joint for the dead. From there they find themselves in a parallel universe populated by, of course, evil doppelgangers. Oh, and did I mention amnesia? That's in here, too.

Anyway, if you like the idea of superheroes having domestic disputes and teasing each other about their costumes, here's a good place to start.
