A Series of Unfortunate Events #12: The Penultimate Peril - Lemony Snicket
I haven't posted reviews of all of the other books in this series that I've read, but Robyn and I have read all of them together so far. Each book has thirteen chapters, and there are thirteen books planned for the entire series. If you haven't read any of them, now's a great chance to start checking them out. Perhaps by the time you're finished with these twelve, the last book will be done. In this one, the Baudelaire orphans find themselves at the Hotel Denouement, where various villains and volunteers from the first eleven books make reappearances. Surprisingly, we do get a lot of straight answers and explanations from one character in particular, though the plight of the Baudelaires is still far from resolved, and their own innocence is called into doubt more and more frequently.
